php中文字符串如何获取首字母

我们在写程序中，如果遇到需要获取中文字符串的首字母的话需要怎么操作呢？正好今天在给客户写项目时遇到了这个问题，故此把它记录了下来。亲测可用。

应用场景是获取各个城市的地名的首字母。
